I have two piles of bricks sitting in my driveway. They're left-overs from the outside stairway my friend Tim built me a couple years ago.
Finally i'm using them.
The pig paces by my front steps. Muddy, the grass won't grow, and i'm not willing to put him in a pen, so i'm making a brick path as big as i can until i use those piles up. 75 gone so far, and I have around 600+ still to go. 2 trips to Ace this weekend have yielded a shovel i'm going to return, (i like the edger-shovel better that Tim left here years ago) 7 bags of sand, another pair of rubber tipped gloves and a chisel. I'm totally pushing my carpel tunnel barrier, I know this. My right thumb and pinky are at half mast, but i'm excited to have an outdoor project. It's going to look like perfectly messed up grid-paper. Some of the bricks have become bright red too from all the rogue spray painting projects performed on top of the piles last summer. I'm quite happy about this unfolding. I'm trying to scatter the reds.

We still have a handful of cool notebooks left for sale on our web site. These are from the collaboration we did last year with our friends over at chikabird.etsy.com
They come in a couple different sizes and fit the paper moleskine cahier notebooks. These notebooks are great because you can buy them from any stationary store in packs of 3 and choose from lined, blank and graph paper. So they're perfect for the writer, sketcher or mathematician in your life.

We got an email this morning (finally, been a long process) containing photos of our new mold for the upcoming belt buckles we'll be making. The buckles will contain inlaid wood designs as well as slow loris drawings lasered into wood and set into the centers. The sketching of the inlaid buckle idea's has begun!

Well the arrows ended up being printed in a banana-lime ink
on %100 cotton black, and 50/50 black-aqua
american apparel brand t-shirts.
The black shirts are sizes Small & LArge
and black aqua shirts are sizes Medium and XL.
Sorry they're not all the same color, we we're using what blank stock we had on hand.
This is a limited printing in these colors. Next time i want the arrows printed in a dark ink. So after these are gone, different colors all around.
It's a Tuesday morning in the studio with Willie Nelson on Pandora, huge gray clouds looming outside, and crap coffee in my mug (I ran out of DOMA yesterday). I'm working on films for a new design we'll print later today (!). We don't have a run of blank shirts in one color, so i'm gathering what i can find from here and there and piling them up. Arlo is printing Adrift shirts while we're singing made up songs about meat and crock pots.
It's a great start to the week.

This has been a strange and sad last few days. First the refinery explosion killing 5 people, shaking our houses like a midnight earthquake. Then the middle of the night manhunt for a crazy man running around Guemes Island with a rifle in our neighborhood. Throwing gasoline on people, and burning a house and car to the ground are only a few highlights of his rampage. Where is it that I live again?
Back in the studio this week, we'll be organizing artwork that over-floweth everywhere-eth. Here's to hoping for more uplifting days ahead. Our hearts go out to the families and friends who lost loved ones in the explosion.
